Description

Description This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F23606-03-Q-0016. This solicitation incorporates the provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-14. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333992, Welding and Soldering Equipment Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees. This requirement is a 100% small business set aside. This request is for fabrication and assembly of support leg assembly rotary launch adapters. Welding shall be performed in accordance with ANSI/AWS D1.1-98. The contractor must adhere to the following delivery schedule: beginning on 15 August 2003 and every two weeks thereafter, the contractor must deliver 2 complete sets of legs (X20015133 and sub-components), 6 locking blocks (X948499), 1 plate (X94890-3), and 3 plates (X9484990-5). Pickup and delivery of stock and completed parts will be accomplished by the Air Force, therefore, contractor must be within 25 miles of Whiteman Air Force Base, MO. Drawings are not attached to this synopsis/solicitation but are available for pickup at the Contracting Office, Whiteman AFB, MO. All Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses and provisions referenced below may be reviewed and/or obtained from the Federal Acquisition Regulations web site at Internet address http://farsite.hill.af.mil/. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this solicitation and are incorporated by reference: FAR 202-1 Definitions; FAR 203-5 Covenant against Contingent Fees; FAR 203-6 Restrictions on Subcontractor Sales to the Government; FAR 52-203-7 Anti-kickback Procedures; FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors -- Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible bidder whose quote, conforming to this solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. Price is the determining factor used to evaluate quotes.
