- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, New Jersey (NAWCADLKE) intends to initiate a Repair of Repairables (ROR), Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Aero Systems Engineering, Inc., St. Paul, Minnesota. The purpose of the proposed BOA and all subsequent orders placed under it is for various levels of support for troubleshooting, repair and calibration of the existing Standard Engine Test System(SETS), A/E 37T-36 in support of the E-2 aircraft and F/A 18 aircraft for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and domestic sales. The proposed acquisition is for Training, Training Equipment/Technical Documentation, Travel, Software, Packing and Transportation, Sustaining Engineering Support, Repair of GFP/GFE, component rework, technical data and information and emergency procurement of SETS components. Included in this proposed BOA will also be any revisions, replacements, or any newly developed items associated with the part number of the support equipment mentioned above. NAWCADLKE intends to procure under the authority of 10 USC 2304 ? (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Aero Systems Engineering, Inc. is the sole designer and manufacturer of the SETS, and is the only known firm possessing the knowledge, experience and technical expertise necessary to fulfill the Navy's requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See note 22.
