Description

The Naval Air warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on a full and open competition basis three (3) Geophysical Test Holes, (two test holes, with an option for completing a third test hole) using FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The holes will be drilled to a maximum depth of one thousand twenty (1,020) feet. The three drill sites are located within the borders of the Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS), China Lake, CA. The Navy?s Geothermal Program Office will use data from these holes. Proposals are being requested on a fixed price basis to include all drilling, logging, completing and testing. The solicitation will include a provision to cover contingencies such as, but not limited to lost circulation, geophysical logging, and standby time due to Government delays, test hole stimulation, fluid sample collection, angle deviation and acts of God. This project is estimated to take 90 days to complete, and the estimated starting date is August 2003. A complete Statement of Work will be provided and released with the Request for Proposal (RFP). The RFP will be released on or about 25 June 2003 and close 30 days thereafter.
