Description

Pre-Invitation Notice for Elevator Modernization at the Federal Building, 210 Walnut, Des Moines, IA. Job PCN RIA23010. Invitation for Bid on or about 06/27/2003. Estimated Cost Range: $1 to 5 Million. Time for completion 365 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The project consist of providing all labor, material and disposal required to modernize 6, 11 Stop passenger elevators by replacing 5 MG sets and 1 solid state control cabinet with new solid state control equipment. Renovate the 6 cabs. One elevator is combination service elevator/passenger elevator and will have card readers installed to allow controlled access. Work includes but is not limited to new ropes, alignment, ADA compliance, and car-position monitor. Contract options include: Option 1, interim maintenance and emergency service for passenger/service elevators during elevator modernization. Option 2 is to provide full maintenance and emergency services for one year after completion of each passenger/service elevator. Asbestos, PCB, and Elevator Competencies will be required prior to award. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. There is a 10% price evaluation factor for HubZone Small Business and 10% Price Evaluation Adjustment for Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns. No document charge is required.
