Description
NAICS: 235310 The Bureau of Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations, Trade Programs, intends to negotiate a Blanket Purchase Agreement with TransCore, Inc. of Dallas, Texas. The purpose of this requirement is to procure additional Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Transponders and Driver ID Tags in support of the Free and Secure Trade (FAST) International Program. CBP requires RFID Transponders that are backward compatible with current legacy antennas, scanners, card readers and software. TransCore, Inc., is the only vendor that currently has backward compatible RFID Vehicle Transponders available that operate at the same frequency range as the current legacy hardware and software. The RFID Transponders/ID Tags must meet all of the following technical requirements: the RFID systems for Transponders and ID tags shall provide data in real time to the CBP developed FAST application software; the RFID systems shall be compliant with the ANS/CNITS 256-1999 standard for RFID item management; each tag shall be encoded with a unique serial number for each Transponder and ID Tag; readable by Intermec, Intellitag UAP reader using a TransCore AA3110 Parapanel antenna; operate at 902-928 Mhz range; readable by an Intermed Sabre 1555 handheld reader; 1024 bits (128 bytes) or greater memory space; and Bytes 0-7 programmed with a worldwide unique serial number. This notice is not a request for proposals nor a solicitation for offers. However, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting ALL the requirements stated herein may submit a response, which if received within 10 calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered. Interested firms shall provide detailed information outlining their capabilities?any response failing to provide the aforementioned data will be disregarded. Reponses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
