Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. Treated Lumber, Idaho Panhandle National Forests, Bonners Ferry Ranger District, Bonners Ferry, Boundary County, Idaho. This solicitation is for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation R1-04-03-84 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14. The clauses and provisions referenced in this solicitation can be found in full text form at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This is a total small business set-aside and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The North American Industry Classification Code is 321114. A quotation is listed for each line item. Line Item 1: 3 inches x 12 inches x 4 foot puncheon, treated ACQ 0.25 FOHC, 530 pieces. Line Item 2: 4 inches x 10 inches x 12 foot stringers, treated ACQ 0.40 FOHC, 84 pieces. Line Item 3: 8 inches x 12 inches x 6 foot sills, treated ACQ 0.25 FOHC, 72 pieces. Line Item 4: 4 inches x 4 inches x 12 foot rails, treated ACQ 0.25 FOHC. Line Item 5: 3 inches x 5 inches x 6 foot water bars, treated ACQ 0.25 FOHC. Items needed by June 20 are 100 of line item 1; 12 of line item 2; 20 of line item 3; 36 of line item 4 and 30 of line item 5. Remaining lumber must be delivered by July 29, 2003. Delivery will be to Bonners Ferry, Idaho at a location outside of town. Lumber needs to be grade #2 or better rough-cut Coastal Doug Fir. A variation in quantity will not be accepted under this order. Delivery must be made on regular workday between 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM, Federal holidays excluded. The contractor needs to notify the Bonners Ferry Ranger District 24 hours prior to delivery. Offers must be received by Thursday, June 12, at 4:30 PM Pacific Standard time at the Idaho Panhandle National Forests, Attn: Acquisition Management, 3815 Schreiber Way, Coeur d?Alene, Idaho 83815-8363. Faxed copies are acceptable however it is the responsibility of the offeror to verify receipt of faxed documents. One firm-fixed price contract will be offered to the best value offer made to the Government, considering past performance, technical capability and price Offers must be faxed to Bobbie Kayne at 208-765-7229. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with its offer.
