- NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. SOLICITATION DACW03-03-T-0086 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) by Little Rock District Corps of Engineers, PO Box 867, Little Rock, AR 72203-0867. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 212319, and is set-aside 100% for small business. Quotations are due on June 18, 2003 at 2:00p.m. Central Time. All document s required for the offer submittal, including amendments to the offer submittal, shall be in paper medium. Electronic medium for submittal of offer WILL NOT be allowed. Fax quotations are NOT allowed. Offers are advised that only offers submitted on a f irm fixed price basis will be considered, and that offers submitted on other than firm fixed price basis will be rejected. Quotations are sought for the following Contract Line Item (CLIN): CLIN 0001 Supply Class 7 Aggregate Base Course (SB2 crushed ston e)(Sandstone or Granite), (5000 Tons), by barge to approximately mile 17 of the Arkansas Post Canal and moor to existing Corps of Engineers deadman. Your offer should show both a per ton unit price and a total amount. The crushed stone shall be delivered FOB Destination within 30 days of receipt of award. Deliveries can only be made Monday thru Thursday, 0800 to 1600 hours. QUESTIONS and ANSWERS: 1. Can the Stone be in hoppers or does it have to be on deck? We don't have a preference between deck or hopper barges. 2. How long will you have the barges before they are unloaded? If shipper will advise us when barges will arrive on site, we should have them unloaded within two days.
