Description
Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) is notifying industry that it intends to have Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) place multiple Firm Fixed Price Delivery Orders under its Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00383-00-G-0001 with General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE), Lynn, MA for the procurement of the following approved J85-GE-21C Engineering Change Proposals (ECP?s) over the next three years. During this period, NAVICP may acquire the following a) ECP 85S-99 ?Variable Exhaust Nozzle Leaves?--up to seventy-nine (79) kits (P/N 1939T33G01); b) ECP 85N-55 ?Ignition System? -- up to one hundred-seven (107) kits (P/N 1941T41G01); and c) ECP 85E-106 ?High Temperature Clamps? up to one hundred-seven (107) kits (P/N 4148T88P06). Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. Once definitive requirements are established, the appropriate Contracting Activity will follow the terms of FAR Part 5 before award of a delivery order. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). GENERAL INFORMATION: GEAE is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the J-85 engine series, and as such, is the only known source available to satisfy the government's requirement. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for the supplies anticipated needed herein is 336412 ?Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing?. Subcontracting opportunities should be sought from GEAE, Director of F404/J85 Programs, 1-781-594-5757. There are no commitments by the government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a delivery order for the efforts mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award of a delivery order. No telephone responses will be accepted.
