Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY; there is no solicitation available at this time. No response will be provided for requests for a solicitation. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT IS PUBLISHED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. HQ Defense Courier Service (DCS) requires overnight airlift support for the round-trip movement of classified material and two couriers between the carrier's hub and 13 gateways (hub/spoke-type operation) within a 24 hour period. The material is to be loaded onto the contractor's planes located at the gateways and flown to the hub. The material will be exchanged and reloaded onto the aircraft for the return flight to the gateway for next day delivery. The contractor must provide a minimum 11,700 square feet work area including loading dock and enclosed office space. The enclosed office space would be approximately 1,100 feet with lighting, heating, ventilation (climate control panel accessible to DCS personnel) and equipped with restroom facilities, a well lit entry area with a locking steel door with viewing hole, at least one 110-volt power outlet and one 220-volt outlet in the office area, solid walls extending from floor to roof (if windows are present security bars are required), two exterior overhead truck doors that are a minimum of 9 feet wide and 10 feet high, two doors interior or exterior, large enough to allow easy entry and exit of a tug and 12 A-2 container dollies, space adjacent to the facility shall be large enough to allow easy maneuvering and parking of two semi-tractor and trailers, and nearby parking for 8 passenger cars. The 13 gateways are: Anchorage, AK, Baltimore, MD, Washington IAP, Denver, Honolulu, Jacksonville, FL, Norfolk, VA (qtrly), Oakland, CA, Omaha, Roosevelt Roads, San Antonio, TX, Seattle, WA, San Diego, CA and the contractor's hub. If any contractor is capable of fulfilling this requirement, contact Ms Jere Gainey, Contracting Officer, at 618-229-2483. All sources capable of providing these services are being sought and will enable the government to determine market capabilities. Any information submitted is voluntary.
