Description

The Whitson WRP restoration project consists of construction of five dikes on the Whitson prperty in Fulton County, Kentucky, near the Kentucky-Tennessee State Boundary Line. The major items of work include: mobilization and demobilization, 1 job; clearing, seeding and mulching of approximately 4.6 acres; earthfill, compaction Class C 10, 833 CY; 254 LF of 8" PVC Sched 40 pipe; and four water control structures. A site showing will be held at 10:00 a.m., local time, on Wednesday, July 16, 2003. Participants will meet at the Gibson County Electric Membership Coop, 1515 Church Street, Tiptonville, Tennessee. Performance time is 30 days after receipt of notice to proceed. Price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Two other related jobs will be shown on July 16 for work estimated under $25,000. Major items of work are the same as above with the following quantity changes: One project consists of constructing 4 dikes, clearing 11 acres, seeding and mulching 3.2 acres, earthfill, 7,764 CY, plastic pipe, 74 LF and installation of 4 water gates. The other project consists of constructing 1 dike, clearing 6 acres, seeding and mulching 0.7 acres, earthfill, 1,689 CY, 74 LF of plastic pipe conduits and installation of one water control gate.
