- Description
- The FAA has a requirement for Contractor Depot Logistics Support (CDL= S) of the Weather Systems Processor. While utilizing the FAA Logistics Cent= er=E2=80=99s Web-Based Logistics and Inventory System (LIS) Interface Tool,= the contractor will be required to provide labor, facilities, equipment, m= aterial and all necessary administrative support for the testing, repair/re= placement, and return of WSP hardware, software, firmware and ancillary equ= ipment. Included is the requirement to store, manage and replace a lay-in = of spare components. The contractor will be required to have a point of co= ntact available on a 24 hours/day, 7-days/week basis, and will be required = to perform repairs utilizing a priority basis that may require repair servi= ces in as few as 24 hours after notification. The contractor will be requi= red to monitor parts obsolescence and propose replacement parts as needed. = The contractor will be required to provide data items, to include monthly = maintenance reports and to host technical and program meetings. = =20 Vendors interested in participating in a competitive procurement for the WS= P CDLS are requested to submit a capabilities statement not to exceed 10 pa= ges in length. Vendors should assure that such statement is received by th= e Contracting Officer not later than 4:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, June = 25, 2003. It is requested that this statement address the following: =20 =C2=B7=09Provide a synopsis of any technical expertise or experience with t= esting, inspection and repair of NAS equipment, particularly digital radar.= Include any experience or expertise with hardware, software or firmware r= epair or upgrade. =20 =C2=B7=09Provide a synopsis of any expertise or experience with performing = and reporting on failure analysis and trend analysis. =C2=B7=09Provide a synopsis of any technical expertise or experience with p= roviding Contractor Depot Logistics Support. =C2=B7=09Provide a synopsis of resources available to implement/provide Con= tractor Depot Logistics Support on critical NAS equipment. This would incl= ude both human resources as well as available facilities to store and repai= r system components. =20 =C2=B7=09Describe experience with the use of the FAA Logistics Center Web-b= ased Logistics and Inventor System Interface Tool. The FAA will not use the capabilities statements to screen or down select. = Rather, they will be used to determine the range of vendor interest, exper= ience and capability.
