Description

NA The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, intends to award a contract to install improvements to the Bonneville Second Powerhouse Juvenile Fish Bypass System DSM Air Burst Screen Cleaner. This contract requires demolition of existing equipment, CN C machining and cutting, welding of stainless steel piping, brazing of copper piping, installation of mechanical equipment, CADD drawings (preferably in Microsation), and the ability to fabricate similar items at a high rate. The contract will allow for t wo months of shop fabrication and two months for installation and testing. The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed, and complete all work within 172 calendar days of commencement (time st ated for completion includes submittals, fabrication, installation, testing, final cleanup of project area, and the provision of O&M manuals for all equipment provided). This procurement is open to both small and large businesses. All interested responsible firms are invited to request a copy of the subject Invitation for Bids (IFB), in CD Rom format, at no charge, by registering on our website at https://www.nwp.army.mil . The IFB is anticipated to be issued on or about July 1st, 2003 with a tentative bid opening date of July 31st, 2003. In addition, in order to do business with the Department of Defense, contractors must enroll on the Central Contracting Register (CCR). Contractors may access the CCR website at www.ccr.gov.
