Description

Asphalt Requirement. 1) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. 2) Solicitation F65501-03-R-0017 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). 3) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-08. 4) This solicitation is unrestricted full and open. The NAICS code is 324121; Size standard: 500 employees. 5) DESCRIPTION: 1) Elmendorf AFB has requirement for the following types of asphalt 1) Municipality, Asphalt Hot Mix City E 2) Municipality, Asphalt Hot Mix City D, 3) State Mix, Asphalt Hot Mix State Type IIB 4) 3/8” Minus Driveway Mix, Asphalt Hot City D 5) Aviation Mix, Asphalt Hot Mix State Type IIA 6) Cold Mix, UPM High Performance Cold Mix, Open Graded. 7) Cold Mix, UPM High Performance Cold Mix, Dense Graded 8)Cold Mix, UPM High Performance Cold Mix, Micro Mix DELIVERY: Vendor is responsible for loading into a 10-ton dump truck. Minimum order of 50 tons for Saturday and Sunday hours. Standard hours of operation are 7:00am-6:00pm Monday through Friday. The Government will provide a one-hour notice prior to picking up product Monday through Friday, a 24 hour notice prior to picking up product on Saturday and 48 hour notice prior to picking up product on Sunday. Vendor must be located within a drivable 20-mile radius of Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. . 9) This solicitation incorporates 52.203-3, Gratuities, 52.203-6, Restrictions on Subcontractor Sales to the Government 52.211-16, Variation in Quantity, 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items. Award will be based on lowest priced/technically acceptable offer. The government reserves the right to make award on the initial quote received without discussions. 10) Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items with Alternate 1 with the offer.
