Description
The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST)has a requirement for an InSpectrum 150 CCD witch include the following: 1) Two-leg fiber optic bundle, 1 meter long for 190 to 1100nm, with seven fibers per leg; 2)Four-leg fiber optic bundle, 1 meter long for 190 to 1100nm, with three fibers per leg; 3) 150-240-240 master 2559 2400 g/mm 300 blaze; )4 150-180-250 master 2652 1800g/mm 250 nm blaze; 5) 150-120-300 master 2891 1200 g/mm 300nm blaze; 6) Additional interchangeable kinematic single grating holder; and 7) Adjustable fiber adapter with horizontal translation capability for SMA-905 connector. These specific instruments are required to permit interchangeability of components with other instruments that will be on board the NOAA P-3 aircraft. We must ensure compatibility with software already developed within the NOAA Aeronomy Laboratory. It is the intent of the Government to award this procurement on a sole source basis under authority of 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) with Roper Scientific of Trenton, NJ. This procurement is being conducted per FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (NTE $100,000). This synopsis is issued for information only. No competitive solicitation is planned. No award will be made on the basis of requests in response to this notice. Terms & Conditions and agency level protest procedures can be found on web site http://oamweb.osec.doc.gov/conops/#REFERENCE. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether or not use of competitive procedures to fulfill this requirement would be in the Government's best interest and must address qualifications pertinent to this requirement. These are the complete specifications and no RFQ is available. All technical questions shall be addressed to Andy Langford of NOAA at 303 497-3115. This RFQ will expire June 30, 2003.
