Description
17. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is RFQ3029 and is being issued as a Request for Quote. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is not a small business concern. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339111, which has a business size standard of 500. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases intends to procure an AcT 5diff Haematology Analyser. This instrument will allow automated blood counts and differentials to support clinical research on lymphatic filariasis, HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis in India. The following instrument and products may be acquired under this acquisition: item/Description/ Quantity: (1) AcT 5diff Haematology Analyser 220V/50HZ, includes the following features; throughput 60 samples per hour, 2 modes: CBC or CBC+Diff, sample volume: 53uL CBC+Diff: 30uL CBC only mode, duplicate counting, pulse editing, coincidence correction and rinse flow system for accurate and precise counts, automatic probe wipe safety, dual focused flow, Absorbance Cytochemistry and Volume channel and Differential Lysis channel for differential technology, comprehensive flagging system for abnormal cell types and patterns, atypical and immature cells, laboratory defined quantitative abnormalities and high/low range flags, autocalibration programme, uni-directional interface using standard RS232 port, printout available on standard graphics printer for results, diffplots and histograms, customizable laboratory report with ability to print normal ranges and high/low flags, software reagent tracking system, optional bar code scanner for entering patient ID, qty-1, (2) AcT 5 Diff HGB LYSE, qty-1, (3) AcT 5 Diff Diluent, qty-1, (4) AcT 5 Diff WBC LYSE, qty-2, (5) AcT 5 Diff Fix, qty-1, (6) Act 5 Diff Rinse, qty-1, (7) Printer Stand, qty-1, (8) RI Act 5 Diff Control, qty-1. Installation, warranty, and a one-year technical service to be provided by factory qualified engineers on a no charge basis. This order is to be shipped directly to the Administrative Officer, The American Consulate, Mount Road Chennai, (Madras) 60006, India. Shipping and the custom clearance is the responsibility of the contractor. The government will award a fixed price purchase order to the responsible contractor.
