- Description
- The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), through the Program Support Center (PSC), intends to award a twelve month sole source simplified acquisition to the National Committee on Quality Assurance. The purpose of this simplified acquisition is to provide support for assessing performance measures for alcohol and drug treatment in managed care plans. Performance measures may be used for many purposes, including: Tracking performance over time to see whether changes have occurred; providing information to external sources to maintain accountability; identifying specific areas to target for improvement within a managed behavioral healthcare organization; and determining priorities for treatment initiatives, including targeting of resources. Closing date for this announcement is June 27, 2003. The proposed simplified acquisition action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed simplified acquisition based upon responses to this Notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Contractors may forward capability statements to the referenced address within 15 days after the date of publication of this Notice. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. For further information, contact Jo Ann Lasko in Room 5-101, Parklawn Building, 5600 Fishers Lane, Rockville, Maryland 20857 or on 301-443-3589.
