- Contracting Office Address: Department of the Navy, Naval Air Systems Command, NAVAIR HQ, Building 2272, 47123 Buse Road, IPT, Patuxent River, MD 20670 Description: The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with McDonnell Douglas Corp. (MDC), a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company for a base period of 01 October 2003 to 30 September 2004 and two option years. The delivery orders will provide for engineering studies, equipment and computer program modifications, repair of government owned equipment, repair of parts and assemblies, development of engineering products and their modifications, and other related services for the Harpoon Missile, the Stand-off Land Attack Missile (SLAM), and the Stand-off Land Attack Missile Extended Response (SLAM ER) weapon systems for both the U.S. Navy and the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: McDonnell Douglas Corp. (MDC) is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the Harpoon missile and is the only known firm with the necessary knowledge, technical data, and equipment, facilities and experience to perform this effort within the required timeframe. Subcontracting opportunities may be available and should be sought with MDC at the following address: McDonnell Douglas Corp. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for the supplies and services anticipated needed herein is 336414 ?Guided Missile and Space Vehicle Manufacturing?. Once NAVAIR finalizes its requirements for the subject effort, a prerequisite for receiving a contract award will be registration in the DODs Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the effort mentioned above.
