Description
The Direct Reporting Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault (DRPM AAA) has a requirement for Special Tooling and Test Equipment (ST/STE) for the Advanced Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAAV) program. General Dynamics Land Systems (operating through its General Dynamics Amphibious Systems division in Woodbridge, VA) is the AAAV vehicle designer and developer. As such, they have developed unique, highly specialized and pervasive knowledge, expertise, facilities, equipment and other capabilities regarding the design, development, manufacture, integration, assembly, and capabilities of the AAAV. Acquisition of the ST/STE will support the production during the Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) and Full Rate Production phases of the Advanced Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAAV) acquisition program. The Contractor will provide all required materials, services, personnel and facilities to design, fabricate, manufacture or procure, and install and proof the ST/STE required for the manufacture of AAAV Production vehicles. Therefore, the Marine Corps Systems Command intends to contract with GDLS, the developer of the AAAV vehicle for the ST/STE. The contract is expected to be awarded in FY04, with additional ST/STE to be added on by contract modification in FY05. Deliveries will commence in FY05 and end in FY07. Only those questions submitted in writing, to Ms. Denise L. Randolph, Contracting Officer, 14041 Worth Avenue, Woodbridge, VA 22192 or e-mailed to Contracts@aaav.usmc.mil will receive a response. See Note 22.
