- Description
- NASA/GRC has a requirement for 1.) 1 ea. Turbo Pump P/N 9699084 - 12 in OD CF flange, 2.) 1 ea. Controller P/N 9699562 120V 3.) Inlet screen P/N 9699350 4.) Water cooling kit P/N 9699338 - 3/8" ID 5.) Shipping charges. NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from Varian Vacuum Technologies, FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1). Only Varian can provide the replacement parts for the existing pump system. Award to any other vendor would risk the compatibility with the existing system. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 6-19-03. Do not request a copy of the solicitation, no solicitation will be issued. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are NOT acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
