- NA The U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) Center for Health Care Contracting has a requirement for Patient Appointment Services. This announcement constitutes an official Request for Information (RFI). Its intent is to obtain information from contractors or subcontractors who have experience with military Patient Appointment Services. This service includes verifying registration information in the appointment system; correcting and when required, registering beneficiaries prior to making the appointment; mak ing and canceling patient appointments; and providing performance and management reports on the appointing process for eligible military health care beneficiaries in an inpatient or network care environment. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an I nvitation for Bid (IFB), it does not represent a commitment on the part of the government to ultimately issue a request for proposal or award a contract. The Government will not pay for any information provided in response to this RFI. Please provide us with POC to include email address, telephone number, fax number, your CAGE code, and DUNS number. Request contractors that are interested or have input to this RFI respond via email to Contract Specialist, Cynthia Jelen, cynthia.jelen@us.army.mil or those firms wishing to respond by mail please send to: MEDCOM Center for Health Care Contracting, Attn: Cynthia Jelen, 2107 17th Street Building 4197, Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234-5068, no later than 15 calendar days after publication of this notice. No telephone or fax responses will be accepted. The government is requesting information to better understand this requirement and industry capabilities. The questions below are in areas we have concerns and would like industry input. Your response is not limited to these questions. 1. What experience, if any, do you have with making inpatient/network appointments in Military Treatment Facilities? 2. Identify any contracts you held by number and the issuing agency. 3. For which facilities do you provide the services? 4. Do you provid e services on site (the MTF) or at another location? 5. Do you make appointments for non-MTF (network and/or non-network providers)? 6. What types of performance incentives are used in the private sector for this kind of service? 7. How can the government requirement be stated to allow for more commercial practices to be incorporated? 8. What industry standards or commercial practices can be used as performance measures? 9. What are some successful quality control measures? 10. What would you recommend for successful productivity measures? 11. What type of management and statistical reports do you recommend? 12. What is your experience with your current customers as fa r as security is concerned? END OF RFI.
