Description
The Combined Synopsis/Solicitation dated June 13, 2003 is hereby withdrawn in its entirety and the following Notice substituted in place of the June 13, 2003 Notice. The U.S. Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB), has a requirement for Contractor to design a State-of-the-Art Television News Set and Open Newsroom Environment to be located and integrated into the Agency's existing Voice of America (VOA) newsroom within a Multi-media Broadcasting Center (MBC). The work consists of the following: (1) newsdesk sitting on 6" risers with two anchor positions with monitors built into the desk, space for laptops, built-in lights, space for telephones, and at least one extra position for a guest; (2) side sets for conversational interviews in proximity to the main anchor desk; (3) the main background area behind these sets should be dressed with TV monitors or flat panels, clocks, VOA logo, etc., and (4) redecorate the portion of the VOA news room that will be seen by the six (6) robotic cameras to compliment the Contractor's design of the Open Newsroom Environment. The open background newsroom shall include the design of an active assignment desk area situated behind the two (2) news anchors. Visual improvements shall include all walls, building support columns, windows, and ceiling tile treatment visible to the six robotic cameras. Attached hereto is a copy of the RFP document for interested firms. Solicitation release date is the date of this notice with a closing date of 2:00 PM EST, July 7, 2003. Oral expressions of interest in this procurement will not be accepted. Any questions related to the forthcoming solicitation (RFP) document shall be submitted in writing to the above-stated Contracting Officer or via email to kharper@ibb.gov. All written expressions of interest shall specifically reference this Notice by its title, number, and date of publication. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. This notice is not a RFQ, RFP, or an IFB.
