- Description
- SST Vault Toilets. This construction project consists of the following items of work, but is not limited to these items: furnishing all labor, material, equipment, tools, transportation, supplies, and perform all work necessary for the replacement/installation of SST Vault Toilets at trailheads and campgrounds on the Seward Ranger District. The purpose of this contract, is to procure a contractor to install five (5) new vault toilet restrooms, and remove and dispose of three (3) existing vault or pit toilets and construct foot paths from existing parking areas to new toilets. Removal includes disposing of all components of the existing buildings and vaults off of National Forest System lands at approved disposal sites: including refilling holes and landscaping (re-vegetation w/native species). The sites are: 1.) Carter Lake Trailhead, 2.) Johnson Pass Trailhead-south, 3.) Primrose Campground (install 2 new toilets), 4.) Lost Lake Trailhead (no existing toilet). The vault toilet kits will be Government Furnished, Romtec Aspen Split Faced Concrete, with 1,000 gallon vaults. Contractor will be required to pick up toilets at the Kenai Lake Work Center and transport to the work site. Contractor determines the order in which sites are completed, and one Notice to Proceed shall be issued for the contract. A pre-bid meeting and tour will be conducted. Completion date for project is 1 February 2004. Estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid that will be considered. Award of this project to be accomplished under Full and Open Competition, pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The solicitation and drawings will be available for downloading at http://www.fedbizops.gov on the solicitation issue date. It will be the responsibility of the bidder to check Fedbizopps for any amendments to the solicitation or this announcement.
