Description

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division, Procurement Services Staff, intends to negotiate a sole source contract for the maintenance of Computer Corporation of America's Model 204 software products which are licensed by the DOJ. This maintenance shall include but is not limited to providing corrections to known problems encountered with existing software, providing additional functions to the software as it becomes available in order to ensure reliability and functionality and to provide for the upgrade of the software product in the event of an operating system or processor change. This software is currently run on an IBM 9672 R46 enterprise server, located at the Justice Data Center - Washington D.C. The software must be capable of running under the OS/390 and the z/OS mainframe operating systems. No solicitation document exists. Interested parties must respond with a written statement of capability that convincingly demonstrates that they possess extensive experience with providing Model 204 maintenance. Responses received as a result of this notice of intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as either proposals or bids, and cost or pricing data is not solicited. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon written responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The anticipated period of performance under any resultant contract will be one year from the date of award with four (4) one-year option periods to extend the term of the contract.
