- Description
- THIS IS A MODIFICATION TO THE PREVIOUS NOTICE FOR RFP-LA-03-04 POSTED ON JANUARY 29, 2003 - The United States Department of Labor (DOL) is reopening Solicitation No. RFP L/A 03-04, which was originally announced in FedBizOpps on January 29, 2003. Please be advised that the closing date for receipt of proposals is extended until 4pm, Eastern Standard Time on August 4, 2003. Offerors who have already submitted proposals in response to the Solicitation may either submit revised proposals, or notify DOL's Office of Procurement Services in writing that they wish to be evaluated based on their current proposals. Others may request a copy of the Solicitation via fax from the Office of Procurement Services at fax number (202) 693-4579. Please provide your company name and address, phone and fax number and a contact person to whom we should send a copy of the solicitation document. Please fax your REQUESTS FOR A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION to the Office of Procurement Services BY JULY 1, 2003. DOL is taking this action because it has come to our attention that some potential offerors may have missed the January 29th FedBizOpps notice because they were relying on DOL issuing individual written notices to them concerning this procurement. This reliance may have been based on certain instances in the past when DOL, or agencies of DOL, including regional offices of the Employment Standards Administration, sent such individual notices. Potential offerors are advised that, henceforth, DOL will publicize procurements only through FedBizOpps, the Government-wide point of entry, which may be accessed on the Internet at http://www2.eps.gov Individual notices will no longer be sent to potential offerors. Should offerors receive any information or notice concerning a future solicitation, it is not official and should not be relied upon. Instead, offerors should consult FedBizOpps for official notice. THE FOLLOWING IS THE ORIGINAL ANNOUNCEMENT OF RFP-LA-03-04, FOR YOUR INFORMATION: The United States Department of Labor's Office of Worker's Compensation Programs is seeking a contractor for delivery of medical second opinion services for claimants under the Federal Employees' Compensation Act (FECA) who are served by the Region IV, Jacksonville District Office and who reside in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
