- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a firm-fixed price construction contract to demolish and remove the existing Salt Flat and Biggers Road Bridges located on the Trinity River, in Trinity County, California. Principal features of the work will include: control water during construction, maintaining access for residents during construction, including temporary bridge relocation, excavating and constructing reinforced concrete foundations and abutments, constructing reinforced drilled shafts including reinforced concrete columns, designing and constructing segmental retaining walls, designing, fabricating, furnishing, and installing steel truss bridges, constructing reinforced concrete bridge decks, furnishing and placing gravel surfacing, aggregate base course, and asphalt concrete pavement, removing existing railroad flatcar bridges, decks, and railing containing lead-based paint and pressure treated timber, removing existing reinforce concrete piers and abutments, H-piling, regarding existing bridge sites, and off-site disposal of all removed materials. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Period of performance is 333 days. This is an unrestricted solicitation and all offers from responsible concerns will be considered. FAR Clause 52.219-4 "Notice of price evaluation preference HUB Zone small business concerns" applies. NAICS Code is: 237310 and size standard is: 28.5M. Solicitation 03SI202012 will be posted on FEBBIZ OPS web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about July 7, 2003. The estimated date for receipt of bids is on or about August 19, 2003 or upon completion of FONSI (Findings of No Significant Impact). How to register will be in Section L of the solicitation. The solicitation and specifications MUST be downloaded at the above site, with the drawings being mailed to you by hardcopy. No paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed with the exception of the drawings.
