Description

THIS IS NOT SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 23332; the size standard is $ 27.5. The estimated price range is between $ 1,000,000 - $ 5,000,000. The estimated release of the RFP is on or about July 18, 2003 In accordance with FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation, the Department of Interior (DOI) / National Park Service (NPS) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the construction of a new Science and Education Center building at Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg, TN. DOI/NPS, National Business Center (NPC) web-site is http://ideasec.nbc.gov/. All interested parties desiring to conduct business with DOI/NPS are required to register at the web-site. RFP documents will be available in Microsoft Word HRML and Adobe PDF formats. HARD COPIES WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. To request a DUNs number, please contact Dun and Bradstreet at 1-800-333-0505 or web-site http://dnb.com. A firm fixed price contract will be issued with a performance of 1 year from the date of Notice to Proceed. Anticipated award date is September 30, 2003. NO TELEPHONE OR E-MAIL REQUEST WILL BE ACCEPTED. NPS seeks to contract to construct timber and steel frame one-story slab on grade building (approximately 15,000 SF) with all associated systems, site-work, utilities and related appurtenances, including geothermal wells and a water tank. A pre-bid meeting will be scheduled for all interested bidders. The date, time and location of the meeting will be in the RFP. All interested bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting.
