Description

This solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov website on or about July 15, 2003 with a bid opening date of approximately 30 days following issuance. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Description: Replace Slate Roof, Building #28, Boston National Historical Park, Charlestown Navy Yard, Boston, Massachusetts. Solicitation Number I1720-03-0414. The work of this project consists of removal of existing slate roofing and installation of new slate roofing; replacement of approximately 500 square feet of wood sheathing; replace west elevation gutter and reinstall snow guards; install new EPDM roofing on flat roof of building; and repair and repaint miscellaneous metal associated features. The National Park Service anticipates entering into a firm fixed-price construction contract as a result of this solicitation. This acquisition is subject to P.L.100-656, Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program, and as such is open to all concerns regardless of size. The NAICS code for this project is 235610 with a small business size standard of $12.0 million. The contract performance period is 120 calendar days following Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR Section 36.204, the estimated price range for this project is between $150,000 and $250,000. Contractors are urged to make a site visit to ascertain existing work conditions.
