- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Washington Navy Yard, Washington DC, anticipates procuring on a sole source basis, additional, within scope research and development (R&D) effort from Anteon Corporation, 3211 Jermantown Rd, Suite 700, Fairfax, VA 22030. This work will be follow-on work to R&D efforts first introduced and performed under competitively awarded contract N00024-03-C-6101 for flexible, affordable, and innovative torpedo signal processing controls. The original programmatic requirements were competitively solicited under NAVSEA BAA N00024-02-R-6162 in July 2002 and, depending on the success of the "Phase I" contract(s), follow-on work was contemplated under "Phase II" add-on modifications to the successful offeror contract(s) with perceived technical promise. The follow-on requirements focus on additional algorithm development, model integration and processor s elf-assessments, which is likely to equate to approximately 4,000 man-hours (+/- 10%). The associated value of these follow-on efforts is estimated to be $470,000. This announcement is for informational purposes and to promote subcontracting opportunities, if they exist. Firms interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Anteon Corporation directly via Mr. Davis Sprague (Contracts) at (860) 572-9600.
