Description

The release date for this solicitation is estimated to be 23 JUN 2003. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport intends to acquire from Sheldahl, Inc., on a sole source basis: twenty-five (25) each Capsule Launching System (CLS) Low Permeance Barriers in accordance with JCM Drawing #16623. This is a sole source acquisition as authorized under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) Only One Responsible Source. Sheldahl, Inc. is the only company qualified to provide this item. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be utilized for this acquisition. Delivery will be F.O.B. destination, Newport, Rhode Island approximately 3 months after contract award. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the government. Telephone requests will not be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Anticipated award date is July 22, 2003. NAICS Code is: 336419, standard size is 1,000 employees. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
