Description

NA The Detroit District intends to award a purchase order in the amount of $95,000.00 to the Great Lakes Commission. The Great Lakes Commission was established by joint legislative action of the Great Lakes states and congressional consent. The Great Lakes Co mmission will provide technical and administrative support to the Corps of Engineers Great Lakes and Ohio River Divsion in the implementation of Section 516(e) of the Water Resources Development Act of 1996. Section 5169(e) directed the Corps of Engineers to coorporate and coordinate with the 8 Great Lakes states to develop a sediment transport model for each Great Lakes tributary which discharge to a federal navigation channel. The Great Lakes Commission is uniquely qualified to provide the technical supp ort, State coordination, and consultation for the Great Lakes Tributary Modeling Program.
