Description

The National Park Service intends to issue an Invitation for Bid for a Firm-Fixed Price contract for asphalt surfacing to locations at and around the headquarters of Big Cypress National Preserve, Ochopee, Florida. This solicitation is for the asphalt surfacing of the Ochopee Maintenance area and Ochopee Ranger Station parking lots with two (2) inch thick asphalt approximately 5,147 square yards. Also included in the contract is the one (1) inch thick asphalt overlaid of the existing roads approximately 7,050 square yards. The Ochopee Housing Basketball court will be constructed with one (1) inch thick asphalt approximately 528 square yards. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center. Proposal documents will be made available in Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideas.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing http: //ideasec.nbc.gov site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notifications will be sent. Proposed issue date is July 9, 2003. Magnitude of project: $100,000 to $250,000. Award will be made under the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program.
