Description
The Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (DHHS, HRSA), solicits proposals from organizations with the capability to develop and implement a Rural PACE Technical Assistance Program to plan for and provide technical assistance to interested rural providers and to assess the relative level of expertise of these rural providers as it relates to the PACE program requirements. The contract will also assess the nature of current and potential future partnerships of the interested rural providers with health professions training programs, including successful examples of collaboration and barriers to collaboration between rural providers who might participate in the PACE program and health professions training programs. The Contractor shall have in-depth knowledge about PACE program requirements including but not limited to operations, service capacity, marketing, financing, composition, and the financial application process. The contractor should be able to work with individual rural providers to ascertain the applicability of the PACE model and develop specific strategies for meeting the needs of those rural providers. In addition, the contractor must also explore health professions training relationships of rural providers and the feasibility of establishing such relationships as part of the PACE model, reflecting commitment to an interdisciplinary team approach to care and the development of replicable models. The Government intends to let a cost plus fixed-fee contract with a one-year period of performance. The actual effort may vary as a result of negotiations. The solicitation will be posted as and attachment to this announcement on or about May 15, 2003. Interested parties contact Hanif S. Abdul-Amin at email: habdul-amin@hrsa.gov. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (28-APR-2003). IT ACTUALLY FIRST APPEARED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS SYSTEM ON 17-JUN-2003.
