Description

NA This solicitation notice is for the construction of Replace Fire Station, Project Number NLZG999157 located at the 121st Air Refueling Wing, Ohio Air National Guard, 7370 Minuteman Way, Rickenbacker IAP, Columbus, Ohio 43217-5875. The project includes con struction of a 19,000 SF single story building with reinforced concrete foundation and floor slab, steel framed masonry walls and roof structure with metal standing seam roof. Interior mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems with all the commun ications support included (voice, data, CATV/CCTV, multimedia). Exterior utilities, pavements, site improvements, fire protection, backup generator, pavement access to the runways and support aircraft apron, connection to primary utilities, landscaping & site improvements, and pavements & sidewalks. The facilities will provides space for pull through vehicle bays for fire/crash/rescue fire fighting vehicles, training classroom, administrative space, control room, physical fitness training space, support equipment, maintenance space, storage and accommodations for 24 hour operation including bunkrooms, dayroom, kitchen and dining room. The contractor will furnish all material, tools, labor, equipment and supervision necessary to perform and complete the w ork. The estimated construction cost for this project is between $1 million and $5 million. The contract type will be firm fixed price. To be eligible for award, a firm must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Firms can re gister via the CCR Internet site at http://www.ccr.gov or by contacting the CCR information Center at 1-888-227-2423. The standard industrial classification (SIC) code is 1542 and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220. The applicable small business size standard including affiliates is no more that $ 28.5 Million average annual revenue for the previous three years. This procurement is restricted to 8(a) certified concerns located within the Small Business Administration Region V. The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is on or about June 26, 2003. The tentative date for the pre-bid conference is July 8, 2003, 10:00 AM, local time at the 121 ARW Base Civil Engineering Office, conference room Bldg. 875, Rickenbacker IAP, Columbus Ohio. To expedite the base entry process and to assure enough space, please email SMSgt Mark Miesse with the names of p eople from your company who plan on attending the pre-bid conference at mark.miesse@ohcolu.ang.af.mil by July 7, 2003. All potential bidders are encouraged to attend. The bid opening is scheduled for July 29, 2003, 2:00PM EDT, at the Air Force Base Conve rsion Agency, Bldg. 440 (2nd St), 7370 Minuteman Way, Rickenbacker IAP, Columbus Ohio 43217. Construction/contract completion time is 330 days. This project has been assigned Invitation for Bid (IFB) number DAHA33-03-B-0003.
