Description
NA Charge Kit, Demolition, Tubular, MK-75 MOD 0, Point of Contact: Janet Batson, Contract Specialist, (309) 782-5452 or email Janet.Batson@US.Army.Mil. The Demo/Mines/Grenades Team is conducting a market survey of industry to identify contractors capable of manufacturing this item. The MK75 Mod 0 Tubular Demolition Charge Kit contains a linear, hose-shaped explosive charge, which is used to clear natural and man-made obstructions from beaches, rivers and harbors. The charge may be used under-water, in the s urf, or against land targets. For towing and some water uses, the end of the charge may be plugged so that the air trapped within the charge causes it to be positively buoyant. The charge may also be completely filled with water to achieve negative buoya ncy. The charge is extruded from flexible explosive which is in accordance with MIL-E-46676. A respondent to this survey should be able to show that they have adequate technical and manufacturing capability and good past performance. A respondent must h ave available a majority of the skills and facilities that are required to manufacture the M75 Demo Charge. Interested companies who feel they have the necessary manufacturing capabilities should respond by providing the government the following informati on; a brief summary of the company's capabilities, including a description of facilities, personnel, past manufacturing experience as it relates the the above criteria; estimated minimum and maximum monthly quantities that can be produced and the Minimum P rocurement Quantity (MPQ) required for production. If a respondent does not have adequate resources (technical, manufacturing, personnel, etc) available, the respondent must be able to demonstrate his ability to obtain those resources in a timely manner. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of sub-tier vendors or contractors, they must also meet this criteria. This is a market survey for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as an Invitation for Bid or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intent to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information. The Government will utilize the information provided only to develop and maintain an acquisition strategy for futur e requirements. All information received will be held in a confidential status for Government use only. All responses to this announcement shall be submitted within 15 calendar days.
