- This announcement is to inform general contractors that the Southwest= Region will be issuing a request for proposal (RFP) for the construction o= f a new Airport Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) with administrative base build= ing. The ATCT will be built on a one and half acres site at the Addison Ai= rport, Addison, Texas. The facility consists of a 57-foot ATCT, 5,200 squa= re foot base building and an engine generator building. The work consist o= f, but is not limited to, building access road and parking lot, utilities a= nd tie-ins to the Town of Addison utilities, drilled pier foundation, HVAC,= plumbing, fire protection system, security and fencing, bonding and lighti= ng protection system, close circuit TV system, paging system, security syst= em, steel structure, precast concrete panel exterior system and xeroscape l= andscaping. Additionally the contract requires the installation of governm= ent furnished equipment and demolition of an existing building on the new s= ite. The existing ATCT will be demolished after the new ATCT is completed.= All work shall be in accordance with specifications and plans. THIS PROCUREMENT IS FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. =20 A PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE/SITE VISIT IS MANDATORY FOR GENERAL CONTRACTORS. The NAICS code is 233320 =13 Commercial and Institutional Building Construc= tion. ESTIMATED BID RANGE: $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. Performance time is 540 calendar days. The successful offeror must meet the following GO/NO GO criteria:=20 1.Experienced in building ATCT/s or similar construction projects with an o= riginal contract award price of $2.5 million or more (Similar construction = projects are: Multi-story structural steel with pre-cast architectural pane= l and /or structural concrete cast in place with architectural panel buildi= ngs for office, school, hospital multi-story hotel/motel and library constr= uction as a general contractor.); 2.The general contractor must have completed project/s valued at $2.5 milli= on or more in the TIME ESTABLISHED BY THE CONTRACT. All requests must be received in this office not later than 4:00 PM Local T= ime, July 7, 2003. Any request received after this date and time will not = be honored. General contractors must include their mailing address, phone = and FAX numbers with their request for the RFP. General contractors must p= rovide the following information, with their request, concerning the GO/NO = Go criteria: =C2=B7Description and title of project. =C2=B7Name of owner with address and phone number. =C2=B7Point of contact with phone number. =C2=B7Dollar amount of the project. =C2=B7Performance time of the project.
