- Description
- This competitive acquisition is for the repair and alteration work associated with the project entitled Repair Angell Street, Project BXUR 01-1020, Bolling AFB, Washington, DC. The contractor awarded this acquisition shall provide all plant, labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, transportation, supervision and other services necessary to complete all associated work. Work includes but is not limited to demolition, utilities, grading/site work, and landscaping and paving, etc. In accordance with FAR Part 36.204, the magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated range is between $1 and $5 million. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237310 with the size standard being $28.5 million. The period of performance for this requirement is 330 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. This is a competitive best value solicitation in which competing offerors past and present performance history is significantly more important than price. This procurement is 100% SET-ASIDE FOR CERTIFIED 8(a) CONTRACTORS. The solicitation and specification will be distributed by the World Wide Web at the following internet address beginning on or about 7 July 2003: http://www.eps.gov The closing date of this solicitation will be on or about 6 August 2003. Prospective offerors are asked to register for this solicitation at the FedBizOps web site. All prospective offerors are invited to visit the FedBizOps web site frequently and obtain any amendments or other information pertinent to this Request for Proposal (RFP). Also, each prospective offeror interested in submitting a proposal on the RFP must register by e-mail to bill.davis@bolling.af.mil in order to be placed on the source list and receive the project drawings, which will be mailed to all registered offerors. Include company name, address, telephone/fax numbers of points of contact along with e-mail addresses. Offerors registering on the source list shall not conclude that they will receive a paper cop of this RFP. NO PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE MAILED. *NOTE: This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. Prospective offerors must be aware that funds are not currently available for this project. No award will be made under this Request for Proposal until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this RFP either before or after receipt of proposals with no obligation to offeror by the Government in accordance with FAR Clause 52.232-18 "Availability of Funds" (Apr 1984). **NOTE: ALL PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION BY THE PROPOSAL DUE DATE IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AWARD.
