Description: NA The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity proposes to negotiate with the Center for Vaccine Development and Evaluation (CVDE), Medical Corps, Israel Defense Force (IDF), Military POB 02149-IDF Tel Aviv, Israel on a sole source basis to acquire th e following (1) trials of experimental vaccines in Israeli military or civilian volunteers; (2) annual surveillance of infectious disease etiology in high-risk military populations serving in IDF field units deployed in the Middle East; (3) surveillance of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases in IDF troops and Israeli civilians. The period of performance is anticipated to be one base year with four one-year options. Intend to award a requirements contract. This procurement shall be under other than full and open competition procedures in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. See Note 22.
