- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Request for Quotations incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-14. This is a small business set-aside procurement. The contract will be awarded as a firm fixed price supply contract using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. The Coast Guard has a requirement to procure the following items for the CGC HEALY. Item 0001 Pumps – 4 Each: Horizontally mounted 210 GPM (minimum), 85 PSI (minimum) variable speed, progressive cavity pumps, single screw, with Hastelloy (C22 or C276) casing, casing rotor, shaft and internals. Each pump shall be suitable for pumping ice in seawater; have a gear reducer rated for severe duty with a fabricated steel base; and shall have mechanical pump seals installed suitable for seawater service, with Hastelloy C metallurgy, Hastelloy C springs, viton elastomer, and carbon vs Tungsten carbide seal. Item 0002 Motor, 4 Each: Each pump shall have a close coupled 15 HP (minimum), 440 volt, 3 phase, TEFC marine and inverter duty C-face motor, 1750 RPM, suitable for variable speed control and reversing. Item 0003 Variable Speed Drives, 4 Each: Standard E-bypass with fused disconnect, NEMA is required for variable speed control for these pumps. The variable speed drives shall be capable of motor infinite speed control between 0 and 1750 rpm, with local and remote control capability. Item 0004 Mechanical Pump Seals (additional), 2 Each: Suitable for seawater service, with Hastelloy C metallurgy, Hastelloy C springs, viton elastomer, and carbon vs Tungsten carbide seal faces. Item 0005 Relief Valves, 3 Each: With 2” inlet X 3” outlet, 150# raised flange connections, soft seated, 90 PSI set pressure, balanced against back pressure, Hastelloy C (C22 or C276) construction or 316L stainless steel with Hastelloy C (C22 or C276) wetted parts. Item 0006 3” Gate Valves, 6 Each: Hastelloy C-276 (A494-CW-12MW) bodies and wetted parts and 150# raised flanges. Item 0007 4” Gate Valves, 12 Each, Hastelloy C-276 (A494-CW-12MW) bodies and wetted parts and 150# raised flanges. Item 0008 3” Swing Check Valve, 1 Each: Hastelloy C-276 (A494-CW-12MW) bodies and wetted parts and 150# raised flanges. Potential sources having the expertise and required capabilities to manufacture above listed items are invited to submit quotations that will be considered by the agency. Award will be made on price only. Quotations should include delivery dates on all items to the place of delivery in Seattle, WA, the company Tax Information Number, and DUNS Number. Place of delivery is USCG Naval Engineering Support Unit Seattle, 14 S Massachusetts St., Bldg 7, Seattle, WA 98134-1192. Delivery of all items must occur not later than 30 SEP 03. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by this agency. All quotations must be received not later than 11 July 03, 1400 hrs. Quotations received after that date will not be considered.
