Description
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Records Management (legacy INS) has scheduled its Annual Records Conference the week of August 11 - 14, 2003 at the Westin Savannah Harbor Hotel in Savannah, Georgia. The Conference theme is "Records Management - Building a Solid Foundation" and is an opportunity for DHS Records Managers to share information on the efficiency of operations. The list of 300-350 invitees include representatives from the legacy INS Records management community (field, Regions, and Headquarters) and Records Administrators representative of agencies that merged into DHS. The Conference will include general assembly sessions and workshops. Sessions being planned include topics, such as, Mail Operations, Quality Assurance, Data Integrity, File Operations, Audits, Performance Analysis, Unique Identifier, and Change of Address Initiatives. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Records Management (legacy INS) is seeking vendors to present products related to cash operations, mail management, records management, file tracking, health and safety, and information management. Session and vendor selections are at the discretion of DHS. Selection criterion is based on the goal to present a variety of products related to Mail, File, Data Integrity, Cash and Records operations. Competitor products may be selected for display. The DHS Office of Records Management reserves the right to reject requests if the products do not meet the above criterion. Vendors are responsible for equipment, electrical cords, or any other materials needed to display products and must reimburse the hotel for any and all costs.
