- SOLICITATION NUMBER F34601-03-R-0408, OC-ALC/PKXDA TINKER AFB OK 73145-3015, For additional information contact Kevin Walker/LPKBB/[405] 734-8780. This requirement is for the repair/overhaul of #1 Bearing, applicable to the F100PW220 engine. Dimensions are: 6 inches Diameter, 1.5 inches deep; Predominant Material: AMS 6415 Stainless Steel; Function: provides support on the front compressor rotor and stator assembly. The government contemplates awarding a firm fixed price contract. The line items are as follows: 0001, #1 Bearing, 3110-00-416-9422NZ, P/N 4035597, Best Estimated Quantities (BEQ?s): Basic three year period: 1,350 ea, First Option year: 450 ea, Second Option year: 450 ea, The government?s required delivery schedule for line item 0001 is as follows: 50 each to be delivered within 30 days after receipt of order and/or reparable asset, whichever is later, and continue at that rate until deliveries are completed. Items will be delivered to FB2039, Tinker AFB. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 3 July 2003. The anticipated award date will be 30 Sept 2003. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. To: FAG Bearings Ltd, Stratford, Ontario, Canada (CAGE: 36069); Timken Aerospace, West Lebanon, NH (CAGE: 78118). Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR 52.209-1. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be mailed out from this office. The solicitation will be available for download on the release date from www.fedbizops.gov. THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT REQUIRED TO DELAY CONTRACT AWARD TO REVIEW PENDING SOURCE APPROVAL REQUESTS (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the government has not completed review of a SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible source approval for future awards. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
