Description

The International Boundary and Water Commission (IBWC), United States Section, requires the construction of an Administration Building of 2275 square feet. The new administration building will be a brick veneered metal stud structure with a Spanish tile porch and coping. Also included is the installation of a concrete sidewalk, construction of a flagpole, flagpole base and foundation, Americans Disabilities Act ramp to the building porch and business marquee, connection of existing utilities to the new Administration Building. The Construction also requires demolition of three small buildings, which are: a Hydro Office, an Outhouse, and the old Administration Building. Also required is the demolition of asphalt and concrete paving, and a power pole. Construction includes three option items that are: an Equipment Storage Facility, Rock Wall, and Covered Parking Facility. The project is located in the International Boundary and Water Commission, United States Section, Presidio, Presidio County, Texas. Tentative dates for issuing and closing IBM030007 are July 7, 2003 and August 11, 2003 respectively. The work under this contract is to be completed in 180 calendar days from the date of issuance of Notice to Proceed. The estimated price range for this requirement is between $250,000 and $500,000. Plans and specifications will be available for inspection, without charge, at the International Boundary and Water Commission, U.S. Section, The Commons, Building C, Suite 206, 4171 North Mesa Street, El Paso, Texas 79902-1441. Request for IFB, specifications and drawings should be submitted in writing by June 30, 2003 to the International Boundary and Water Commission, U.S. Section, Attn: Irma Gurrola, at the preceding address. No telephone or facsimile requests will be accepted. There will be no charge for the solicitation packet. Offers are solicited from small business concerns. Offers received from businesses that are not small business concerns will not be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 236220 for Administrative Building Construction. The associated small business size standard is 28.5 million dollars annual average gross receipts for the past three years. A pre-bid conference and site visit will be held. Attendance is highly recommended.
