Description

SECOND NOTICE AS REQUIRED. ISSUE DATE: 07/08/03. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to Renovate the Multi-Mission Building at USCG Station Jonesport, Jonesport, ME (Washington County). Work includes, but is not limited to, the removal of interior partitions, doors, windows, ceilings, roofing, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems, and the abatement and removal of asbestos containing floor tile and pipe insulation at pipe fittings; the provision of one temporary administration trailer and associated temporary utilities, asphalt paving, underground utility upgrades, wood framed addition, EPDM roofing, vinyl siding, windows, doors, partitions, carpet, vinyl flooring, suspended ceilings, heating and ventilation systems upgrades, power and lighting renovation and upgrades, and fire alarm system upgrades. The work also includes the removal of one exterior steel lintel and the provision of a galvanized steel lintel at a window location to be determined by the government. Removal and disposal of existing brick masonry and the provision of flashing and brick masonry as indicated. Incidental related work. Option 1 to the solicitation is the provision of vinyl siding on garage building. Option 2 to the solicitation is the provision of solid vinyl windows in lieu of aluminum windows. The project is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. Contract will include liquidated damages. Estimated cost of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 dollars. NAICS code is 236220. Tentative evaluation criteria to consist of the following: Price, Past Performance on large, multi-discipline renovation projects, schedule, personnel qualifications and geographic location of the contractor in proximity to the work site.
