- NA This amendment is issued to address several questions asked in reference to the solicitation cited above. They are as follows: Question 1: Are these FXs just replacing four (4) existing codecs: Answer: The FXs are replacing PictureTel units. There is only one (1) requirement for installation and that is the New Cumberland, PA location in lieu of four (4) separate installations. The ISDN lines are already in place. The monitor to be used is completely compatible. There is no integration required. Q uestion 2: Will you have any old equipment that you wish to trade in for the four (4) Polycom FX's? We have a program where we can give you credit back for trade in's in some instances. Answer: We will not be trading in any models. Question 3: What a re the VTC units being connected to? Televisions, projectors, plasma screens, or other? Further, what is the Government's wish for mounting these units? Sitting on top of a TV, mounted on a shelf on a wall, etc? Answer: These units will be connected t o 31-inch compatible monitors. The units will sit on top of the monitor (there is no requirement to mount). Question 4: Can you tell me more about the maintenance requirement? Do you require a certain number of maintenance visits or is the requirement just for service calls as required? Answer: Only the Standard warranty is required, NO maintenance is required under this solicitation any further, all references to maintenance are deleted. Question 5: Can the Polycom equipment be the standard version or does it have to be the 'USA made' version? Answer: The Polycom equipment must be the 'Made in the USA' version.
