Description

17. Description: (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only the solicitation; proposals are being requested, a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number is F291OG31640100 and is being issued as a request for quotation. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular 2001-14. (iv) Notice: The solicitation is 100% set-aside for Small Businesses. The NAICS code is 337212 with a size standard not to exceed 500 employees. (v) Contract line item 0001 is for 30 each custom-built commercial quality 3 person lockers. (vi) Description is as follows: The lockers are to be oak-faced; door style is plain panel with taped edges and a melamine interior. The lockers need to have a light oak finish. The door widths are 1 @ 24? and 2 @ 18?. The dimensions are 24? deep and 84? in height. There is to be a fixed stationary shelf on top with a closet rod below it. The doors must have a means to be locked with a customer furnished padlock. Each locker is to have 2 drawers below the hanging area of the locker. The drawers are to be behind the panel doors. The cabinets can be built as one unit of three lockers each for a total of 30 lockers. Or they can be built as single lockers for a total of 90 units. If built as single lockers they must have a means to attach securely together as one unit. (vii) FOB: Destination. Place of delivery is 300 Minuteman Drive Minot AFB, ND 58705. Required delivery 2 Sep 03. Would prefer delivery of 10 lockers at a time but not required. (viii) The provision of 52.212-1, Instructions to offerors ? commercial, applies to this acquisition and a statement regarding any addenda to the provision. (ix) The provision at 52.212-2, evaluation ? Commercial Items is applicable to this procurement. The evaluation procedure to be used for this procurement is price and price related factors. (x) Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications ? commercial Items, with offer. (xi) Clause 52.212-4, contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. (xii) Clause at 52.212-5, contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders ? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and the additional FAR clauses cited in the clause are applicable to the acquisition: 52.222-19, 21,26,35,36,372 52.225-1,52.232-18,33. (xiii) Any additional contract requirement(s) or terms and conditions (such as warranty requirement) determined by the contracting office to be necessary for this acquisition and consistent with customary commercial practices. A written Request for Quote will be attached to this synopsis and is to be returned to the requesting contracting office. A drawing with measurements will also be attached to the synopsis. (xvi) The contracting office will accept requests for solicitations through alternate means as facsimile machine at telephone number 1-(701)-723-4172. The offers are due by 10:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time 10 July 2003.
