- Description
- The National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Proposals for a Firm-Fixed Price contract to preserve the Historic Gordon House by repointing the mortar joints at exterior masonry walls of the house. The work to be performed under this contract shall consist of providing all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, temporary facilities and controls, and incidentals required to repoint the mortar. The Gordon House (ca. 1818) is located in Maury County, Tennessee, on the Natchez Trace Parkway at milepost 407.7. This RFP will be issued electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be made available. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center. Proposal documents will be made available in HTML and Adobe PDF formats. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideas.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing http://ideasec.nbc.gov site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notifications will be sent. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures as outlined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. Selection of a contractor will be based on the best value method, conducted as a past performance/price tradeoff. The anticipated range of this project is expected to be between $25,000 and $100,000 with a period of performance of ninety (90) calendar days for all onsite work following the Notice to Proceed. Should any contract result from this solicitation the contractor shall be required to provide a Performance Bond (SF-25) and Payment Bond (SF-25A) equal to 100 percent of the award amount. The contractor shall also be required to provide a valid Certificate of Insurance. In accordance with FAR Part 19.10 this solicitation is being issued as unrestricted available for full and open competition with no small business set aside. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 238140 with a size standard of $12 million. Solicitation will be issued o/a July 16, 2003.
