Description

Nonpersonal Services: Barksdale AFB has the requirement to lease and maintain 60 portable chemical toilets with servicing of 21 specified units once per week and 39 specified units twice per week. The contractor shall perform leasing and servicing of portable chemical toilets at Barksdale Air Force Base in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, regulations, standards, instructions, commercial practices, and as described in the Statement of Work (SOW) with the focus on safety, sanitation, and customer service. The contractor is encouraged and expected to use innovative approaches to efficiently and effectively accomplish SOW requirements in a timely manner at reduced costs. The exterior color of portable chemical latrines shall comply with color of standard 595A, Color No. 23690 or one approved at time of submittal that is similar to light tan. The contract is anticipated to be a basic year plus 6 option years. This solicitation is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable NAICS code is 562991 and the corresponding size standard is $6 M. This solicitation will be issued as a commercial format Invitation for Bid. The Service Contract Act will apply. Anticipated issue date is 25 Jul 2003. It will be available only via the Electronic Posting System. No telephone calls or written requests for this solicitation package will be accepted. No bidders mailing list will be maintained.
