Description

Two Projects QJKL 96-0011B/C Maintain-Alter Bldg. 710, and QJKL 00-0006 Install Sprinkler and Fire Alarm Systems Bldg. 710, will be accomplished simultaneously under one contract during the same timeframe and consists of the following work elements: 1) Project QJKL 96-0011B/C, Maintain/Alter Bldg. 710 consists of: Install canopy west side dock, install vestibule structure, replace existing 2 ton crane with 6 ton crane, remodel offices and building facilities, replace air handling units and related ducts and equipment, install lighting, communication and electrical requirements, replace carpeting, painting, suspended ceilings, doors, frames, hardware, other miscellaneous work as specified in the bid documents. 2) Project QJKL 00-0006, Install Sprinkler and Fire Alarm System consists of: Install fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems as specified in the bid documents. The estimated magnitude of construction for the combined projects is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The total estimated performance period of both projects combined is 150 calendar days (30 days for submittals and 120 days on-site performance). The NAICS code for this project is 236210, Industrial Construction, the size standard is $28.5 million, and the SIC code is 1541. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued o/a 10 July 2003 and opened o/a 09 August 2003. Dates are for estimating purposes only and may be revised as indicated in the IFB. This solicitation is unrestricted and therefore all responsible sources may submit a sealed bid, which will be considered by this agency. Note: Funds are not presently available for this requirement. In the event current fiscal year funding does not become available, the requirement will be funded with next years funds contingent upon appropriation by Congress. The approving authority certifies that the requirement has a high enough priority to ensure that it will not be cancelled.
