Description: NA The Defense Contracting Command - Washington is in the process of procuring newspaper delivery services for the American Forces Information Service Agency, 601 N. Fairfax Street, Alexandria, VA.22314-2007 in accordance with the following Statement of Work: 1.0 Scope: The newspapers to be delivered will be used by the Current News Service editors to assist in producing the Early Bird by 0500 hrs for the Secretary of Defense and other senior Defense Department officials. The Contractor will pay for, and de liver, two (2) copies of the following: Washington Post - Home Edition, Washington Times (2-star Edition), and the USA Today (Late Sports Edition). All deliveries must be by 0230 hrs each duty day-Mon thru Fri, as well as one (1) copy of the Saturday an d Sunday Washington Times by 0230 hrs each Monday. 2. Requirement: 2.1 Delivery Method: The Contractor shall pick up the copies of the Washington Post and USA Today from their printing plants in Springfield, VA. and the Washington Times from the Washi ngton, DC. printing plant, and deliver ALL newspapers,to the front door of 601 N. Fairfax Street, Alexandria, VA. 22314 by 0230 hrs. Upon delivery, contact one of four (4)liaison officers at (703) 428-0037 at the 601 N. Fairfax Street location. 3.0 Poin ts of Contact: The contractor shall provide a single point of contact for all requests and billing questions during regular business hours. 4.0 Billing: The contractor shall provide an invoice monthly detailing the price of newspapers and price of deli veries. 5.0 Period of Performance: The period of performance is from 1 Oct 2003 thru 30 Sept 2004.
