Description

Estimated Request for Proposal Issue Date: 11 Jul 2003. Estimated Proposal Closing Date: 25 Jul 2003. This will be an electronic solicitation release. No hard copies will be mailed. Solicitation, amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be posted to FedBizOpps (http://www.eps.gov). It is the responsibility of each offeror to review the web page for notice of amendments, updates or changes to current information. The subject acquisition is for asbestos abatement in the crawl space of Bldg. 2285 located on Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. Asbestos containing material (ACM) is federally regulated and requires special handling and disposal procedures. The contractor shall abide by all federal, state, and local regulations. The contractor will be required to furnish all materials, equipment and personnel necessary to manage and accomplish the project. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this solicitation is section 562910, Remediation Services. NAICS size standard is $12.0 million. The performance period will be 60 calendar days. This acquisition is set aside for Small Business concerns. The construction magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. In order to be eligible for award, a firm must be registered in the Department of Defense Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Register via the CCR internet site at http://www.ccr.gov or by contacting the Department of Defense Electronic Commerce Information Center at (800) 384-3414. This is a competitive Request for Proposal, which will be processed through competitive negotiation procedures utilizing best value in terms of price versus past performance trade off procedures. There will be no public bid opening. Electronic proposals via fax or e-mail will be considered. Dates listed above are approximate and included for reference only.
