- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to conduct a public/private full cost comparison study in accordance with OMB Circular A-76 for operations, mechanical maintenance, repairs and miscellaneous alteration services of the infrastructure, utility systems, and equipment at the SSA headquarters buildings located at 6201, 6301 and 6401 Security Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21235. This notice does not obligate the Government to award any contract. Under the A-76 process, the in-house government organization that is currently performing this work will be allowed to compete against the private sector and other agencies for the referenced work. Accordingly, a contract may or may not be ultimately awarded as a result of the study. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME; however, SSA seeks information from interested sources as indicated below to assist this agency in planning the acquisition strategy. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220, with a small business size standard of average annual receipts of $12M over the last 3 years. If you feel your organization has the corporate capability and expertise for performing this type of service, provide the following information VIA EMAIL ONLY about your company: 1) Company name, address, email address, website address and telephone number. 2) Corporate capability statement (not to exceed 2 pages) that includes similar experience and references. Under the referenced NAICS code, please specify the following: 3) Is your business large or small? 4) If a small business, does your firm qualify as a small disadvantaged business (SDB)? 5) If SDB, is your firm certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? 6) Is your firm a certified hub zone firm? 7) Is your firm women-owned? 8) Is your firm veteran-owned or service disabled veteran owned? This request for information does not constitute a request for proposals and submission of any information based on this synopsis is purely voluntary. SSA plans to make a solicitation available at FEDBIZOPPS at a later date. If a solicitation is posted, it will be preceded by a presolicitation announcement in FEDBIZOPPS that will specify an anticipated solicitation issue date sometime in calendar year 2003.
